The product is designed to be highly sustainable and great for on the go for both you or your little one. The bowl features a slightly orange colored lid to make it easily accessible in your drawer. As with all of our products, we have used materials in the construction of the bowl that are free of chemicals like BPA, phthalates, melamine, PET or biologically harmful chemicals. We do not use recycled content in any of our products due to not being able to control what is in the material. However, please recycle this product or hand it down. The biggest difference between the Baby bowl vs the Cereal bowl is the depth of the bowl. The Baby bowl is also slightly wider. Diameter: 12 cm Depth: 3.5 cm Holds: 300ml / 10oz
The Thinkbaby Baby Bowl is comprised of 304 (18/8) stainless steel. Then we wrap the product in polypropylene.
When washing the bowl in the dishwasher, we recommend using a detergent that is free of chlorine. Most of the natural detergents on the market from Eco Lever to Seventh Generation should be free of toxic chemicals. If hand-washing, the American Pediatrics Association suggests using warm soapy water, but only if you live in an area with treated water systems.
Thinkbaby's BPA Free Baby Bowl furthers our mission by providing safe, sustainable, functional and elegant products for little ones. In the development of our BPA Free Baby Bowl, Thinkbaby continues the mission by providing a bowl free of BPA, phthalates, nitrosamines, lead, and PVC. Our bowl is also free of Melamine. Early laboratory research has shown melamine based tableware to leach melamine at various temperatures and when combined with other chemicals (such as formaldehyde and cyanuric) have the potential to pose a risk. As we expect the debate to begin on the safety of this chemical, the research we reviewed caused us to ask a simple question. Does the product have to have melamine? Nope. So we built our bowl to be completely free of it. The bowl was designed for a wide range of feeding ages. The bowl becomes useful from the moment that your doctor green lights solid food feeding to school days and beyond. Parents find the bowl perfect for feeding and food storage. And there is no reason for the bowl to be only useful for your toddlers. We receive emails and calls from parents all the time that are using the bowl for food storage and transport.
Since our company's inception, we have been focused on being socially responsible. For us this means three things:
Create safe products
Have the least impact possible on the environment in the creation, packaging, usage, and disposal of product possible.
Connect to non-profit organizations engaged in activities that help the world become a safer, healthier place
Since 2007, we have provided products for various fundraisers for diabetes, child abuse, autism, and cancer organizations, and have provided direct aid to catastrophes such as the Texas fires and Haiti. In addition, we have been proud donors to Texas4000, Healthy Child Healthy World, Environmental Working Group, and St. Jude.
Our program evolved, and through a little bit of "thinking," Thinksocial was created. We came up with Thinksocial as a way to empower consumers to choose which non-profits they feel most connected to and want to monetarily support. We call it the democratization of social responsibility.
