ThinkSocial was designed to empower consumers to choose which non-profits they feel most connected to and want to monetarily support. We call it the democratization of social responsibility. At checkout, shoppers have the option to donate to the charity of their choice. To date Thinkbaby and Thinksport have donated over $250,000 through this program. One of our four featured partners this year is Pelotonia.
Founded in 2008, Pelotonia was established with the objective to fund life-saving cancer research. As a centerpiece of its year-round fundraising efforts, Pelotonia hosts a three-day experience that includes a weekend of cycling, entertainment and volunteerism. In its first seven years, Pelotonia raised over $100 million for cancer research. Thanks to its generous funding partners, Huntington Bank, L Brands Foundation, Peggy and Richard Santulli, American Electric Power Foundation, Nationwide, Cardinal Health Foundation, Harold C. Schott Foundation and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Pelotonia is able to direct 100 percent of every dollar raised by its participants to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
